Physical description: K'lian is tall and well-muscled from Turns of dragonriding. He has long, powerful limbs and large hands and feet. At 6’4, he is tall and handsome, with lean shoulders that are broad and strong. K’lian has sandy brown hair that he keeps short. He has dark blue eyes with golden rings around the pupil, a long thin nose and thin lips that tend to quirk up on one side in a rather rakish grin. His skin is lightly tanned from spending plenty of time outside.
Personality description: K’lian is a friendly person that has a tendency towards mischief. He loves to joke around and tease, and for this reason, he is a fun person to be around. He has trouble being serious, and nothing really gets him down. He is very creative, which lends itself towards his mischief-making ways well. His pranks tend to go off very well, and are well thought out. Whereas he likes to goof off, he is not mean-natured. He jokes around primarily to cheer people up and get a laugh. He loves to make others laugh, and finds it very fulfilling. K’lian tends to get bored easily by routine, and when he is bored he causes more trouble. A happy-go-lucky guy, his sense of humor is goofy and not very sarcastic. Underneath his jokes and laughter, the Weyrleader has a heart of gold. He is very compassionate, and there are few things that yank at his heartstrings like a woman crying, or a person in need. K’lian loves change and adventure, and is very willing to make new friends, male and female. He doesn’t discriminate. As long as they are willing to laugh, he is happy to know people. In his youth, he was reckless and irresponsible, but now as Weyrleader, he has become more responsible since his rank has saddled him with a lion’s share of it.
History: Killian was raised among the massive Weyrbrat population at Benden Weyr. He knew from a young age that he wanted to be a dragonrider, so he Stood as young as he was allowed to. However, he kept getting parseed over. It wasn’t until Killian transferred Weyrs that he Impressed, the first Silver of his kind, Krauth. K’lian and his Bonded were the subject of much talk and study, as his dragon was a sport type. After Krauth’s appearance, however, Silvers began to show up about as frequently as a Bronze would in Gold clutches. The pair worked hard together, and when K’lian was only in his midtwenties, he became Weyrmates with Zera when his Krauth flew her Gold Quiroth.
