Physical description: Brassy blonde hair tumbles almost to her waist and Zira keeps it tied back in a runner’s tail or bun more often than not. Her dark tan makes her bright blue eyes stand out even more so in her face. A hooked nose that is borderline too large has a kink in the middle from a fracture when she was younger. Her build is athletic and of middling height. Although she lacks feminine curves, Zira does her best to dress to suit her body type. Hands are rugged and calloused from not only her Turns of dragonriding but also breaking runnerbeasts in her family’s holding. She is deemed attractive by some but definitely not by all.
Personality description: Zira is morally rigid and can seem uptight to those who don’t know her well. She responds with loving croons and soft words to dragons and animals but is brusque and direct with people. Often her dealings with people can parallel that of training a canine or runner- ask, tell, command. She doesn’t immediately apply the whip so to speak but if she feels she is being ignored, Zira is swift to reprimand. However, she is extremely loyal, almost to a fault and pours her whole heart and energy into a worthy cause. Manners and tact are passable. Her language? Not so passable. She can look like a lady when done up but when she speaks she sounds like a Pernese sailor. The more she tries to stop cursing, the worse it gets.
History: Zira grew up on the back of a runnerbeast in a breeding hold outside of Ruatha. She helped her extensive family breed, raise and break well-blooded runners. Most of her formative years were spent learning how to understand and interact with animals. It wasn’t until she was Searched at the age of 12 that she had to learn tact and politics. Life in the Candidate barracks at Benden were difficult. But young Zira persevered and soon made a small but tight-knit group of friends. She Impressed her golden Quiroth at 13 and from then on was groomed to be a Weyrwoman. Her mentor recognized the desire for adventure and insatiable thirst to test her mettle against the world. Afterr spending many educational Turns at Benden, it was decided when Zira was around 26 that she would be the Senior Weyrwoman at a new Weyr deep in the untamed jungles of the Southern Continent. Paired with K’lian for the past six Turns, Zira and Quiroth set out for the jungles of Xian.

Dragon's Physical Description: Quiroth is a massive golden Queen, rivalling the size of Ramoth. She is a dusky gold hue with striations of bright, freshly polished gold running down her back and across her flanks. Her coloration is reminiscent of the molten sun sinking low in the water with ripples across the surface. Zira finds her to be gorgeous and unique.
Dragon's Personality Description: Quiroth is an iron-willed queen with little patience or tact. She wants what she wants, when she wants it. And much to Zira’s exasperation, Quiroth can be extremely clever when trying to get her way. Possessive and protective, Quiroth is leery of strangers and intimidating to Candidates. She serves as balance, though, to her Bonded’s ribald humor and can be rather prissy at times. Her favorite thing is the prospect of the chase when she Rises as her vanity is stoked by being the center of attention. That being said, she is fair and enjoys socializing with her Weyr when bathing or exploring. And she absolutely ADORES her fire lizards.
