Physical description: An aloof and hard man used to dangerous and difficult tasks, Ad’rastos seems cold and distant. Ad’rastos’ stony face only pressed this asseumption as icy blue eyes without a shred of warmth gazed out piercingly from underneath heavy brows molded like a craggy overhang. His nose was all stiff angles with a definite hook at the end. His lips were thin and seemed as if he was constantly pursing them together. His hair was cropped short and was a steely black which made his eyes seem more driving. On the whole, Ad’rastos looked like a grizzled old eagle who had seen many harsh and unforgiving winters in his lifetime. The rest of his body was as angular and steely as his face with strong and firm hands accustomed to wielding a weapon in defense of his old mountain hold.
Personality description: Undaunted by any task set before him, Ad’rastos will persevere until the arseignment is complete, no matter the odds. A blunt and straight-forward man, he will tell you like it is and never minces words especially when giving a report on the progress or defense of a Hold. Like the eagle, that is commonly used to describe him, Ad’rastos is noble and courageous especially in the face of danger and uncertainty, thus he is an excellent Thread-Fighter for he is always able to remain calm and collected. Loyal to a cause, that is justified in his eyes, this Brownrider will give you his all and never back down even if the odds are not in his favor.
History: Raised in the unforgiving elements of High Reaches Hold, Ad’rastos adapted completely to the frozen elements. Trained as a fierce fighter and defender of the Hold from wild mountain felines as well as rebellious holders, he gained his expertise on battle tactics that he employed during his time spent as a Wingleader for the Weyr after he proved he and Aetosth’s mettle and complete capability in the air against Thread that rivaled the Bronzeriders of the Weyr. He never let his position go to his head, thus he only made enemies when he turned the tables against foes when the odds weighed heavily in the foes’ direction. Although his abilities and quickness remain as sharp, if not sharper, than when he was a younger man, the High Reaches Weyrleader suggested retirement for the Wingleader and procured Xian Weyr as a substitute location to live. Not one to argue, Ad’rastos packed up his meager belongings and sprang sprightly aboard Aetosth and the pair went to the Southern Continents most distant Weyr.

Dragon’s physical description: An extremely dark deep resonant brown, Aetosth borders on being black. Of an average Brown size, but more compact and robust, he uses his muscles that have built up over his many decades of Thread-fighting to his benefit. Just as grizzled as his Mine, the Brown also has the craggy appearance. In his older age, Aetosth’s snout has begun to gray a little making him look like an old man. But his eyes are still clear and whirl with dedication and determination that the harsh years have not been able to diminish.
Dragon’s personality description: Aetosth shares many of the same characteristics as his Mine. The Brown is shrewd and cunning when it comes to tactics in the air against Thread that allows him to think on his toes and never allows fear to rule his actions.
