Physical description: Mai is more what you would call cute than pretty or beautiful. She stands at 5’5, and is very curvy with large breasts, and very round hips. Busty and full-figured, it would be a stretch to call her thin, but she is definitely not dumpy.
She has short strawberry-blond hair that she keeps tucked behind her small ears. She has brown eyes that are deep wells, and dimples appear in her cheeks when she smiles or laughs. She has long eyelashes that she bats when she is flirting, and tiny little feet at the end of shapely legs.
Mai’s favorite color is green, so she almost always wears green—whether in the form of dresses or tunics. She also wears a pendant with a fat emerald around her throat, which is very precious to her.
Personality description: Mai is your garden variety flirt. However, despite this, she is actually quite wholesome. She prefers to string a fellow along before taking her claws out of him and setting him free. She is a vixen that doesn’t follow through. In fact, she has only ever had one Weyrmate before, and her inexperience always surprises people that find out about it. She acts much more worldly than she actually is. It’s almost as if she believes that all Greenriders should be flirts, and so she goes through the motions of being one.
Mai is very theatrical, so it is hard to get to know the real her. She always appears to be happy and has an easy laugh, but when things start to get serious, she is nowhere to be seen.
Mai is smarter than people give her credit for. When she sashays by with her full figure, the last thing on a person’s mind is how cunning she may be.
The Greenrider is surprisingly patient as well, and doesn’t have a temper, though she makes a show of being outraged when she feels the situation calls for it.
History: Mai was born the cherished only daughter of a poor farmer. He made sure that she had everything she could want or need, even if it meant that he worked long hours in the hot sun. When he passed away, it was the greatest tragedy of her young life. She had no choice then, with no other family in the world, to work as a drudge in the Hold where she lived. Her life as a drudge was short-lived, however, when she was Searched for Southern Weyr. Mai threw herself into Weyr life, even though she was a Candidate for over a Turn before she eventually Impressed her Kylith.
Kylith was the last egg on Sands, and was a pathetically small Green, but Mai loved her all the same. She took pride in her ability to care for the young dragonet, and it wasn’t long before Kylith was strong. The forest-green hatchling grew quickly, and soon, was a fully grown, slender-necked dragon. She had a surprising number of pursuers for her Maiden Flight, and it was Bronze that caught her.
Mai woke up the next morning in bed with a disgusted Bronzerider, who was none to glad too have shared his bed with her. This experience has embittered her, which has her dreading the next time that Kylith Rises.
When Xian Weyr opened, Mai and Kylith made the transfer, hoping for a bit of adventure.

Dragon appearance: Kylith is small but slender and beautiful to behold. She has a dark hide that deepens to almost black in patches across her body. This gives her a distinctive appearance that Mai adores.
Dragon personality: Sweet and lovable, Kylith is also slightly ditzy. She adores her Mine, and will do anything she says, and is quite naive. She is a creature that needs to be protected, and so therefore usually attracts the knight-in-shining-armor types.
