Cabriel has golden blond hair that looks almost white in the light. It is worn fairly short.
Cabriel is about 150 pounds soaked and wet, tall (6’3”) and rangy, with long limbs. He has the pinched, stretched look of a young boy who has recently reached his man’s height. His tallness makes him feel awkward, so he hunches his shoulders to compensate, hoping that he won’t look so gangly.
His skin is deep bronzy tan, and he is lightly sprinkled with patches of freckles that give him a boyish look. His eyes are light ice blue and typically the first thing people notice when they meet him.
Cabriel could do to put on a little muscle, so that he looks less stretched and more toned.
Freckles lightly dot his skin. They are very light, and
hard to see from a distance, and also don’t show well against his skin.
Personality description:
Cabriel has a very soft spoken, calming way about him. He is very careful to not to hurt anyone’s feelings or step on anyone’s toes. He is a very good listener, and has an excellent memory for details. It only takes once for him to meet somebody to remember them—their name, face and nearly everything they say to him.
Cabriel is a Harper by birth and trade, and sings in a pleasant baritone voice. He plays flute, gitar and harp quite well. He is pleasant to listen to, and is patient with children, so therefore his duties often extended to playing for children, and often he sung lullabies to put babies to sleep.
Cabriel is quite shy in conversation, preferring not to initiate any contact with others. He is content to merely watch his surroundings and listen to the conversation around him. However, when he is performing, it is like he is a whole different person, and he comes out of his shell. Cabriel is in his element when he is playing or singing, and does so often.
History:
Cabriel grew up in Harper Hall, and was the son of a singer named Calissa and a wonderful gitar player by the name of Briral. The two were very loving parents, and Cabriel was their only son, so he received plenty of attention. He was taught to be kind-hearted, hardworking and honest. As a child, he ran about with the other children at Harper Hall, but never shirked his duties. When he grew older, he was trained in his craft. He excelled in singing and playing just about any instrument that was taught to him, and his excellent memory helped him to memorize various songs, stories and poems much faster than his peers. Cabriel participated in various Gathers, and felt he was really hitting his stride as a young Harper when one day, he came across a Bluerider who came to visit family. T’ris’s Blue had already Searched Oakley (his former neighbor), and indicated that Cabriel had the desirable quality as well. Cabriel talked it over with his parents before making the difficult and yet exciting decision to travel to Xian Weyr to Stand as a Candidate.
