Physical description: Laloraine has a thick mane of red, curly hair that falls down to her mid-back. It is easily her most distinguishing physical characteristic. It has a tendency to get frizzy and puffy when the weather is humid, or when it gets wet. Laloraine will bundle it all in a braid when dragonback, but when just about the Weyr, she lets it hang loose, where it seems to have a personality all of its own.
Laloraine is short of stature, but tall of personality. Her body leaves no doubt of the fact that she is feminine, and is distinctly hourglass-shaped. Though short and not altogether thin, she is not pudgy. She is well-muscled after Turns of dragon-riding, and astonishingly strong for her short frame. She tends to stay pale of complexion, though she certainly spends enough time outdoors in Rukbat’s rays. She often seems flushed due to sunburn that tends to peel rather than darken her skin into a tan. Her pale visage is heart-shaped, framed by the flaming aureole of her hair.
She has a short nose, and above them sit a pair of expressive green eyes. They tend to change between brown and green depending upon what she is wearing, but most of the time they stay a charming emerald hue. Those eyes are lashed with pale eyelashes that don’t hide the myriad of expressions that tend to reside there. Her eyes narrow with distain, widen almost to a comical degree of surprise and blink in confusion. They are her primary conduit of expression, besides perhaps her lips. Her raspberry-hued lips are shaped like a bowtie and often quirk upwards in a friendly smile. If they purse into a frown, it gives her whole face a pouty expression. And woe to any who make those lips narrow in anger!
Personality description: Laloraine is a very expressive personality. If you are her friend, she is a lot of fun to be around, and very easily read. You know instantly if you have offended or upset her, as she has quite the temper when it is roused. She also is very loyal, and will defend her friends staunchly. She can tend towards manipulative, pushing for what she wants by using her feminine charms and grace to persuade you that what she wants is really what you want. She can be quite the outrageous flirt when it comes to men, which has gotten her in trouble in the past! Laloraine also has a very nurturing side—she loves children and animals, and will mother them relentlessly if given the chance. She calls people younger than her by endearments such as ‘dear’ and ‘love’ which is very charming to some. She absolutely fawns over her Green Ilydeth, and her fire-lizard, Raffia.
History: Laloraine grew up a Weyrbrat within Fort Weyr and had a very happy childhood. As is common among Weyr children, Laloraine didn’t know who her parents were, but she was raised by a loving foster mother. When she was just a girl, she Impressed to the fire-lizard Raffia, who was quickly loved and spoiled by the girl. The Brown flitter often perched upon Laloraine’s diminutive shoulder as she did her chores about the Weyr. She learned much about life and love living within the confines of the Weyr, and it was not surprising to any who knew her when she Impressed the first time she ever Stood, to her loving Green Ilydeth.
She plunged into the life of a Weyrling and acclimated well, gaining many friends along the way. Ilydeth flew for the first time when the Green reached full maturity, and Laloraine was fortunate to be Weyr-mated to the Brownrider D’rain for her first sexual experience. He was kind to her, being about twenty Turns her senior, and showered her with love, affection and many favors. Indeed, Laloraine was rather sad when later that Turn Ilydeth was flown by Blue Asmodeth, Weyrmating her to the Bluerider C’ril instead. He was closer to her age, but tended to have affections towards men, which made him an excellent friend and gossiping buddy for Laloraine. He was not jealous in the slightest when Laloraine’s Ilydeth took a new mate for the next two Flights.
It was around this time that Laloraine and Ilydeth had their first encounter with injury: Laloraine was badly scored on her forehead at the age of 17 Turns, and Ilydeth received a wingtipping. The Greenrider claims that this is the first time that she began to take life a little more seriously. The time recuperating bonded her and Ilydeth even closer together. Not long after recovering, Ilydeth Flew again, beginning another string of Weyrmates that Laloraine accumulated over the next fifteen Turns. It was when she was 30 Turns of age that Laloraine had some trouble: She was mated to the Bluerider K’mari, who became jealous and possessive of her. His Blue Ramroarideth Flew Ilydeth four times in a row, and Laloraine felt suffocated by that relationship. K’mari wanted to go everywhere with Laloraine, and though loving, the Greenrider was free-spirited by nature, and needed space. One day, the Greenrider went to a gather and met a charming Bluerider named V'sos. He made her feel safe..until K'mari showed up and tried to kill her in a jealous rage. After all of the drama, Laloraine went back to Fort, and V'sos to his Weyr, and she was forced to only dream of what could have been.
However, things kept escalating with her abusive Weyrmate, which forced the Greenrider to take a drastic step and transfer Weyrs. In a happy surprise, V'sos had transferred to Xian Weyr as well, and the two shared a heartfelt reunion.

Dragon's Personality Description: Ilydeth is mild as Laloraine is expressive. She often acts as the voice of reason for her rider, and is very sweet-natured. The Green never has a bad thing to say about anyone, and always is willing to give the benefit of the doubt. She is highly attached to Laloraine, and tends to be a bit wishy-washy in her decision-making, and so she depends on her rider much for that aspect of things. Ilydeth is very friendly and tolerant of Raffia and all fire-lizards. As a Weyrmate, Ilydeth is a very loving Green, giving her affections freely and without restraint. She has not favored any particular dragon above any other for long in the past, and likes a little variety.
