Physical description:
Kaeli stands around 5'8", and loves every inch she has over shorter folks. Long arms and legs allow her speed when running and a good reach when climbing, both activities she takes part in often. She's thin and built well, as she keeps incredibly active, lacking much in the way of "womanly curves". Because of her outdoor preferences, she has tanned skin, with freckles dusting her nose and shoulders. Her eyes are green as can be, flecked with brown, and her hair is a wonderfully complimenting golden-brown color.
She tends to prefer close-fitting clothes with enough room to allow her freedom to climb, run, roll, dig, and--well, whatever other activities she might find necessary! She's not one for personal ornamentation, never sporting jewelry of any kind. Even her shoes are worn but sensible, suited for her active lifestyle. She can often be seen spotted with mud or sporting twigs and leaves in her hair, testament to her wilder activities.
Always smiling, waving, and greeting people she passes by, Kaeli definitely looks approachable. She's cute, but perhaps not traditionally pretty. Her nose is a little upturned at the end, just the smallest bit. She is always, without fail, welcoming and warm to anyone who approaches her--and to those she approaches!
Personality description:
Kaeli is a very chipper, outgoing young woman. She is always doing something, always active, and always smiling. To some, this might be a little exhausting; she could certainly be seen as too excitable, too happy. The fact that she can't seem to sit still also might bug others, but she truly feels she must always be doing something. There is so much to be done, after all! How could she not be so busy, with all the new faces to meet and places to see?
She'd make for a very good explorer, but would struggle terribly with tasks set to her that require periods of inactivity; healing from wounds, as well as standing watch or writing notes would bore her to tears. She's far more of a hands-on person, and the dirtier she can get doing it, the better she feels about it! She has absolutely no qualms about the dirty side of raising a dragon, that's for sure!
Perhaps some of that energy comes from her love of klah, as she can often be seen with a mug in hand. She's also often found around one animal or another--all shapes and sizes, she loves them. Especially the green ones, as it's her favorite color! That said, she could definitely use some steadying, as she's a little flighty and has trouble committing--whether to staying in one place, which is what's brought her to Xian, or to another person! Impressing a dragon might just be the final push she needs to "settle down" a little!
History:
Kaeli came from your standard family of a mother, father, a brother, and her. Her mother and father met when they were just coming into their twenties, and Kaeli was born shortly after their marriage. Her brother followed after that. Both were raised in the most typical of ways, had the most normal of childhoods, and went into their chosen apprenticeships with little hassle.
Kaeli, being far dirtier than many of the girls she knew, considered apprenticeships in both mining and working with herdbeasts. She also, of course, had dreams of Impressing her very own dragon--a green, naturally! What else would she wish for, when everything else she loved was the same color?
She did end up starting herself off working with the local beastcrafter, finding that she favored the idea of working with animals more than digging in the ground. This way, she could do both! And it earned her enough experience that, when Xian was founded, she managed to get herself a ride there, hoping to offer herself up to do any work the Weyr might need of her!

Pets:
Koko, a green firelizard who is all too ready to get dirty with her human. While her hide is a uniform green color, it's often spotted, striped, or otherwise dusted with spots of brown--mud and dirt, of course.
